This Matching Games for Kids is a 4 in 1 Learning kit that I am using for my twin kids. They are only 3 years old. And by using this Matching Games for Kids they learned Opposite and  Rhyming words with Pictures at a very early age.

So I personally feel that Matching games with colorful picture flashcards really helps kids to learn Opposite, Things that go together, and Rhyming Words very easily.

HOW TO PLAY

2. Opposite Word puzzle cards

CONTENT: 36 Activity cards opposite words(18 Sets)

ACTIVITY:
1. Give anyone set to the child. Help him/her understand different word meanings by reading the word to him/her and explain the meaning of opposites. Also, have spelling and pronunciation of the words.
2. Now take out three or four sets of the word cards and help the child to correctly match the Opposite words.
3. Once the child is able to match correctly, help him/her in using these Opposite words in Simple sentences.

MEMORY GAME:
Place all the cards face down on some flat surface. Let the youngest player start the game. Let him/her turn over any two cards. If the card match, a picture-word card, and its corresponding opposite picture work card, the player may keep the cards and take another turn, if the card is different, they are placed back face up and the next player takes the turn. The player takes their turn clockwise.
The players have the added advantage of picking up cards from the cards that have already been revealed. The game ends when all the cards have been matched. The child with more cads is the winner. 

2. Rhyming Words With Pictures- Rhyming Pairs

CONTENT: 36 Activity Cards  of rhyming words with pictures (18 Sets)
ACTIVITIES:
The parent or teacher should first help the child understand what Rhyming words with pictures mean through various examples.
Match the rhyming words with pictures – 
1. Give anyone set to the child. Help him/her understand and distinguish between different meanings of both the words with the help of picture clues.
2. Now help him/her read or speak both the words and understand that both the words have the same sound.
3. Take another fat and ask the child to name and match the picture like chick-brick, dog- frog, and so on.
4. Mix picture-word cards of 3-4 sets. Ask the child to find, name, and match the correct Rhyming picture-words. Gradually increase the sets.

INDIVIDUAL PLAY:

The child is required to make cards that go together. Spread 4-5 sets on the table and jumble them together. Let the child observe the pictures and match the corresponding pictures. Gradually make it more difficult by spreading more cards.

4. First Word- Matching Games for kids

 

The parents should first help understand the concept of Matching Games for Kids.

2. Show him the name of the picture printed on a separate card. Ask him/her to recognize and read the word.
3. Show the complete set and ask the child to name the picture, read the word, and match them.
4. Mix picture cards and word cards of 3-4 sets. Ask the child to find, name, and match the correct set. Gradually increase the sets.
5. Each set of cards have a similar color border to self-check correctness of the answer
